My experience in Norway has been very interesting, I have met a lot of amazing people, learned a lot about development and aid all over the world. before I came to Norway I didn't know much about the Norwegian culture, language or food, but staying here for 10 months has enriched my views on different people from different cultures all over the world. I met people from Tanzania, Kenya, Nepal, Brazil, France, Madagascar and Israel, I also met some people from my own lovely country Uganda. While living here I learned how to live with so many people with different views on life, how to compromise and how to just enjoy the differences between people. I now admire different cultures and find them very interesting, because I can truly say that I have learned a lot from my fellow friends from all over the world. Having the pleasure of living at Hald two months in the beginning of my journey in Norway and the last two towards the end has been very helpful and beneficial to me in so

My journey to Norway. It started as an imagination the first time I had that I was coming to Norway, I was doing my internship at Community volunteer initiative for Development (COVOID) then there came an opportunity where they announced students to go for an exchange and they wanted someone who had finished   completed high school and below 25, I applied and started the processes of coming to Norway. My personal reflection being on an exchange in Norway.

Being on an exchange in Norway has not left me the same in some aspects of life. I have learnt a lot that even when I start narrating I don’t want to stop. Norway is a country where things that seem to be impossible in my eyes are possible to Norwegians as well as the things I thought are miracles only made by God are made by people instead.   For example, the behaviors of people, their way of living is so amazing and interesting from my own observation, while at Hald International Center in Mandal, people respect each other’s views, whereby from the top most ranks (principle and teachers) of the school to the bottom(students) every person is respected. For example, the principle of the school asks for evaluation from all the students in case there is anything to change, not waiting only for the teachers reports. Eating on the same table both students, teachers and the principle of the school, those things caught my interests and attentions a lot, meaning everyone is important an
